Churchill had no option but to support Stalin and Russia when Hitler invaded her. England had no active allies in the war at that time. America would have seen Germany conquer England in 1940 without raising a finger, all aid from the U.S.A. was paid for by England before Pearl Harbour and England ended the war destitute whilst the Americans made a fortune.
Russia was never a friend, the communists has always tried to export their particular brand of tyranny since the revolution and democracy is something that they will never understand.
Soviet agents had been active in England since before the war and for some reason communism had had a fascination for the rising middle class in Europe between the two world wars. What is not generally known is how close England came to becoming a Soviet workers state which would replace our parliamentary democracy in the 1960′s and 1970′s.
A most important article “Treason most Foul”,by Douglas Eden, associate fellow of the Institute for the Study of the America’s at the University of London. The Australian,12th June 2009,p.11,gives details of the plotters intention of making England a Soviet workers tyranny.
Communism was the answer to the workers class hatred of the British Landed Gentry and the Unions were their base.
After W.W.2. half Europe had come under Soviet control with the help of Roosevelt at Yalta. Europe’s Empires were in ruins and so was Europe. British industry, which had survived the war,was antiquated and unable to compete with rebuilt Europe particularly Germany and also Japan. Heavy industry went to the wall and so did coalmining. Successive Labour governments gave in to the Unions’demands and pro-Soviet bosses saw their chance.
Jack Jones,General Secretary of Britain’s largest union, the Transport and General Workers Union and chairman of the Trade Union Congress’s international committee, was the most powerful,he was even more powerful than James Callaghan, the British Prime Minister at the time.
Jones died this year and one of his KGB case officers,Oleg Gordievsky, the best known surviving KGB defector to the British, confirmed this year that Jones was a Soviet agent. His wife had been a Comintern agent since the mid 1930′s.
In 1975 Leo Cooper published his memoir of another secret intelligence service defector to the West,Josef Frolik,“who named leading British trade unionists he knew to be deeply involved with the Soviet led spy circle in London”. Cooper was worried about the legal consequences of such exposure and Frolik agreed to withhold the names until they were all dead. That is now,Frolik named other trade union leaders who were strongly pro-Soviet,they included “Ted Hill of the Boilermakers Union,Ernie Roberts and Hugh Scanlon of the Engineering Union and Richard Briginshaw, leader of the largest printing union”,“By 1977 there were 13 Communist party members in the Transport and General Workers Union’s national executive”.
Jones and other pro-Soviet TUC leaders were stacking the union movement with communists.
Callaghan, the Prime Minister, took little notice of the replacement of official Labour candidates by hard Left people chosen by the unions. “By 1979 the candidate’s list was dominated by the Hard Left in winnable constituencies”. “Had Labour won that year’s general election, the new parliamentary Labour Party would have ditched Callaghan and adopted the extreme policies passed at the Labour conferences but kept out of the 1979 manifesto by Callaghan”.
Eden recalls “a knock-down argument at a Labour Party conference between Jones and Ian Mikardo representing the union and parliamentary wings of the pro-Soviet Left respectively,as to whether the coming far-Left government of their desire would be run by the TUC or the Parliamentary Labour Party”.
Fortunately for England Margaret Thatcher, who knew of the problem, was triumphant in the election and this puts her equal to Churchill in importance.
Our legal system protects not only terrorists but also traitors by means of our subversive human rights laws.
Our human rights activists would accept the overthrow of our democracy by a communist or muslim tyranny.
To be called racist or fascist brings immediate odium, but to be called communist is acceptable in society even though some of the most bloodthirsty tyrants in history,Pol Pot,Stalin and Mao followed that creed in their tyrannical workers states. In many European countries the hard Left has allied to extreme Islam and America is now the enemy.
If we do not want to find out what tyranny is all about we should stigmatize supporters of radical Islam and communism (Hard Left) and make them our enemies. Peace without freedom is a feast without food.
One subject that is forbidden in Australia is the power of the communists in our unions and just how Left wing are our legal systems and our education systems and whether the human rights lobby is a front for the extreme Left. Communism is not dead it is only looking for a new mentor.
