Most of us believe that the Post-industrial society means the flight of our heavy industry to the Third World,but that is not the real purpose behind this world wide movement as essays on site,EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG/WIKI/post-industrial society,show.
It is nothing less than an attempt to divide the World into two parts with manufacturing,farming and production in general undertaken by the Third World and finance,moral issues,the arts,science and in fact all intellectual pursuits,including law,the prerogative of the West.
This con,for that is what it is,would result in our elite dominating the World through our courts and financial institutions and legal services and the rest of the world would work for them.
The flaw in this idyll is pointed out by geographers (such as Allen Scott and Eduard Doja) who argue that Industry remains at the centre of the whole process of capitalist accumulation.
As the U.S. has found out,without capital accumulation their paper money and bonds are worthless. Destitute people in houses that they cannot pay for are no collateral for paper money.
When Hillary Clinton begged China to continue buying American bonds so that America could buy Chinese goods the cat was out of the bag and the present depression again proves that you cannot expect to live without productive labour.
Those bright little boys in Wall Street and the City of London can print all the money they need,but it would still be valueless until the West is prepared to “work”for a living and until then the depression will continue.
Cheap imported labour is no answer to our problems,we must rebuild our industry to technical supremacy and protect our goods by tariffs until our industry recovers.
Wall Streets’attempt to dominate the world by America’s financial might has failed. No nation can give away it’s wealth,that is the basis of our standard of living.
The Chinese and Indians are not fools,why would they give America some of the profits earned by their hard working people. They no longer need advice fron the West. They now have their own specialists trained by us. What is the future? A Third World standard of living?
Western society no longer has the desire to create or adventure,our religion no longer leads,but follows our decadence and condones our immorality. We have descended into a state of both self-indulgence and altruism.
We give away our country and our wealth and at the same time squander our remaining assets.
No civilisation has come back from the edge of oblivion and we will not be the first. Our fate is sealed,no conqueror has destroyed us,we are responsible for that.
Our culture now spawns some very sick groups. One such group “The Earth Liberation Front”hand delivered a menacing letter to the boss,Graeme York,of the Hazelwood Power station in Victoria,threatening to harm his property if he did not stop polluting the planet by producing electricity,(The Australian,22.6.09,p.8.). This group has gone global carrying out an estimated 17 guerilla attacks World wide and in 2001 the FBI classified it as the main domestic terror threat in the U.S.
The ELF ominously thinks the planet itself should be emptied of humans altogether.
