An internal Australian Army Report has gone much further than the Australian Defence Forces White Paper and admitted that China’s military expansion is a greater threat than orthodoxy thinks. (The Australian,9/10,May,2009,p.2.) China could ‘destabilise’the Asia-Pacific region.
The report entitled Army’s Future Land Operating Concept is also concerned about India’s military ambitions. There is a “real potential”for war between China and India. So much for Asianisation. We should be doing all we can to “starve”these growing giants,not economically feed them.
