Until recently Globalism,an American Empire concept,could not be discussed in the popular press,it was a fact of life espoused by Wall Street and most other stock exchanges and a controller of World trade. On the 31.1.09 in the Weekend Australian,Michael Stutchbury economics editor in Davos wrote in an article “World in reaction”,that put flesh on the bones of this tiger we ride and where it is taking us.
The idea of “a flat world –where production,capital and even people shift from nation to nation,according to whatever the markets signal –has collided with the worst economic crisis since the Depression”. The dread that nation states could make things worse gripped the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
A year ago the Davos crowd debated whether China had been “decoupled”from the U.S. as the Bill Clinton initiative to give all poor American blacks a home to live in developed into the sub-prime mortgage debacle.
A claimed success for Globalisation was the continued development of the developing nations,“a testament to the triumph of Global Capitalism in absorbing the population masses of China,India and Brazil”(into the economy) “It’s been the greatest poverty reduction on human history”.
Thanks to globalisation Third World nations typically become middle class societies through export led growth.
What the article did not say was,the size of the cake did not increase,that the wealth of the Third World was taken from the Nations of the West when avaricious manufacturers moved their factories and their technology to the Third World where wages were less than the constant demands from the no less avaricious union movements in the West.
“The Davos crowd now accepts that the globalisation boom rested on an unsustainable macro-economic imbalance. China’s export strategy depended on the giant U.S. consumer market. As one expert asked “if there are no people in Wal-Mart to buy your product,what is your export strategy?”
Without it’s industry and technological edge,Western nations are no better than the Third World and their masses are in poverty. This is shown by America’s position. Financial engineering allowed China to finance Clinton’s feral home loans for poor Americans by purchasing Treasury bonds.
“Former U.S. President Bill Clinton virtually urged China to keep financing U.S. budget and trade deficits as an investment in China’s own export market.”Clinton said at Davos,“We cannot escape each other Divorce is not an option”.
Anyone but an idiot would have known that the basis for the West’s high standard of living is it’s technology and it’s manufacturing base without which we are broke. If World government is proposed as an answer to Nation states protecting their industries by trade barriers,consider this.. Under World government all people must be equal that is all or none must have full medical services,a good old age pension,the dole and a free education and live in a well organised urban environment. In other words elevate the Third World to Middle Class status.
This vast social engineered project called Globalism replaces religion as the moral driving force for what are now our well educated elite. Altruism is just a front for other but darker objectives.
IKEA and K Mart are very much part of our standard of living. I counted over 40 countries making goods for IKEA and pretty well everything sold in K Mart is made in China. The cheap goods in these two firms are an important part of our lives,but at what cost?
In an industrial society,so abhored by the environmentalists and Globalists,manufacturing,development and design provided worthwhile employment at good rates and with security for all levels of ability. Now the best on offer is day labour,the service industries or office work.
Class is not a factor to our new leaders,but education and money is important. Our new breed of elite cares nothing for our Nation they are Internationalists who care little for any one else. The most able prowl the stock exchange for rich pickings and the rest are traders in real estate and other people’s jobs. When things fall apart they still walk away with millions and we foot the bill.
These parasites sold our industry,our jobs and our skills to the Third World and we still elect them. What is the matter with us?,the objectives of globalism are unobtainable.
There is a finite limit to our wealth. Glaxo provides cheap drugs to the Third World and expects us to foot the bill without asking us.
Globalism is killing us get rid of it.
