It is said Taxes and death are always with us now should be added also the N.G.O.s

After the tax collectors come the self appointed guardians of our souls. Once they were the churches, now they are the NGO’s and whoever they are they demand a part of our hard worked for gains to give away to the deserving poor.

One such mendicant is Duncan Green who works for Oxfam. The title of his article in the Australian Literary Review,3.9.08.,says it all it is:“How to make poverty history. Removing barriers to redistribution of wealth will be the critical challenge of the 21st Century.”

These people are Marxists and like all people of that ilk they are quite incapable of creating wealth. They have to plunder their capitalist neighbours and like the churches use ethics and human rights to justify their demands on us.

Their arguments need some scrutiny. According to the U.N.,defining extreme poverty as $US365 per annum, one billion people suffer it. The U.N. say the $US300 billion a year would lift everybody on the planet above the extreme poverty line. I do not think that an extra $300 billion a year is going to make the poor all that happy.

Green talks about the redistribution that occured in Europe after World War II. All I remember was Marshal aid given to flattened Europe to rebuild it and stop a communist takeover. Europe got on its feet by the effort of its industrious citizens. The third world should do the same and cut their population. Since Ethiopia received Live Aid it has doubled its population and the third world will increase its population by 3 1/2 billion by 2050.

China was lucky it was given most of our industry and wealth. The NGO’s should go begging to China. The recession could begger our inner city elite and force them to consider a more creative job in manufacturing.

Rampant capitalism has failed the US. Globalism is not in the West’s financial interest. India and China are living off us and we certainly do not need the NGO’s to make their living from us also.
