Stripped of it’s Empires and suffering under America’s financial hegemony,Europe’s elite saw an outlet for their frustrated energies in becoming keepers of the World’s conscience and,through the UN,designers of a better and fairer World.
The last attempt at such a world had been through communism and we all know what a failure that was.
The designers of this “New World Order”wanted the Third World to enjoy industrialisation through the Lima Agreement,and with the advantage of cheap labour,the migration of Western Industry. What the West was to gain in return,except cheap goods,was not considered.
The industrialists of America and Europe immediately saw their profit margins sky rocket and were only too keen to escape the high wages and union troubles in their own societies.
The pill was sugared by states like Australia becoming the clever country. Everyone to have a degree and a high paid job and all industry to move off shore,“The Post Industrial Society”,
Frenzied groups arose promising a green and better land and lifestyle and others threatened the domination of Global Warming it we did not return to the Stone Age. We started to live on credit and our negative balance of payments went through the roof.
That did not matter,the clever could still make money lending money and betting on the Stock Exchange.
Countries with natural resources were still alright but Europe and England do not have these and America too is not self sufficient.
Europe and America’s wealth is being transferred to the countries that supply us with what we need,China,India,Korea,Japan,Russia,the Middle East and South America.
Any idiot can see that if you cannot create wealth to pay for what you want you go broke. All the money that Rudd will give us will end up in China’s pockets.
The West has been tricked by our rulers into giving away our industrial heritage to the Third World and invite millions of non-productive people from the Third World to enjoy our diminishing wealth.
There is no long term answer for a society that no longer manufactures wealth,except to go back to the Nation State and put up barriers to trade and immigrants and to start again. The only problem is that our young are now too lazy.
