Now that Globalisation is diluting the power of Governments to rule their people,………

……should soldiers assume the right to decide which Wars they will fight in the future?

The labour government in England treats it’s troops badly;Poor food, poor equipment, poor accommodation and obvious dislike by the Left wing labour voters. Now the martial side of England’s population has had enough. 17,700 servicemen have resigned from the British forces last year, but only 15,500 trained recruits joined and the MoD spends 170 million pounds on advertising for recruits.

The modern serviceman no longer expects to die for his country at the whim of some self important politician and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan have hit recruitment.

No soldier should be expected to fight in any war or UN peace mission unless he volunteers and he should be paid at a rate equivalent to that of private protection services in Iraq. No fat Australian Unionist risks his life for his country and our soldiers in Australia should not be expected to risk theirs for peanuts.

Where we fight in future should be decided by referendum,it is bad enough when you are sent to fight a war or maintain peace in some hell hole when your country asks you,but to go there for the benefit of the UN should be the pleasure of those University louts who scream their abuse at their nation.
