Immigration solves two major problems for the Australian government. Cost of educating tradesmen and graduates and keeping wages down.
The Howard government supported globalism but was clever in concealing from the electorate the scale of migration and its effect on Australia.(The Australian,16.5.08,p.2.)
The proportion of the overseas born population in Australian is 24 per cent. Twice that of the U.S. at 12 per cent and three times that of England and Wales at 8 per cent. But under Howard 24 per cent were British nationals, but the number of migrants each year from 84,000 to 140,000 last year.
This figure failed to include on-shore “conversions”from foreigners on student or temporary work visas to permanent residence. That number rose from 99,000 to 192,000 per year over the past nine years.
Over the same period the number of Australians leaving the country each year without any immediate intention to return doubled from 35,000 in 1999 to 72,000 last year. (The Australian,16.5.08,p.2.)
Added to our ageing population and failure to train our own youth, future economic growth would require filling Australia’s skills shortage largely from overseas.
Rudds love of China makes it certain that in future China will be our main source of immigrants and when soon he allows China to buy our mining companies and increasingly allows Chinese companies and workers to construct and our own infrastructure such as ports, roads and the electricity supply. We will be well on the way to being a province of China.
This year immigration into Australia will be at least 300,000 plus “hidden”migrants and using the increase in Howards reign from 99,000 to 192,000 per year,we can expect Rudd to allow in 450,000 per year if not more in the near future.
Unskilled workers will now be allowed into Australia and the ACTU now wants a say in the intake.
It seems that the Unions, employers and government all want to control immigrant but the rest of us are ignored. (The Australian,19.5.08,p.4)
According to Amanda O’Brien and Ryan Emery,(The Australian,19l5l08,p.4) ,West Australia will need 400,000 more workers over the next 10 years to maintain an average rate of growth.
Globalisation means open borders and both Labor and Liberal support this. But where do the rest of us stand.
We demand a debate on the future direction of Australia.
How many people can this arid continent hold. Where will these extra millions come from and will we the Europeans lose control of OUR world. Our environment is not only where we live but more importantly who our neighbours are and who rules us.
Labors’intentions are clear open borders and a probable take over by China. This is not democracy and if you want to continue to live in Australia start taking action NOW.
Demand a say in your future.
