Human rights groups to argue for a charter.

(The Australian,12-13.4.08,p.3.)

Human rights groups like all N.G.O.s are by nature undemocratic. For them the minority is right. Australia’s peak human rights body will use the 2020 summit as a forum to argue for a federal charter of rights, but Attorney-General Robert McClelland last night ruled out any model that would undermine the authority of parliament.

That may be what he believes but in New Zealand the human rights law tried to do just that and the judiciary took no notice and did what they liked.

I believe that human rights legislation world wide is designed,in the end,to by pass democratic government and give world government to the U.N. and that implementation of that rule will be the judiciary not the national parliament.

If you believe in freedom make sure your elected representative knows your views.
