The Post Industrial Age

When after WWII the inner city elite decided that we no longer needed an industrial society,they also consigned our scientists and engineers to the scrap heap.
Thirty years ago Queensland’s Universities were turning out electrical engineers who had no chance of employment in that state. The situation is now the same all over Australia for engineers and scientists. Where are the tradesmen produced by TAFE to be employed? Except for the housing industry there is little work.
Until we force the teaching profession to accept that all people are not equal in ability,it is a complete waste of time spending more money on education. It is time that Australian parents accepted the fact that any attempt by the teaching profession to conceal the ability of the few by false assessments and reports designed to confuse interested readers is not in the interests of their children education will continue to be a farce.
It is estimated that in England in 20 years 40 per cent of jobs will required a post graduate degree this shows just how important for our children a good education will be.
There are enough articles in the press saying what a mess our education system is in,without adding to them.
