(The Australian,20.7.09,p.11)
New York based Human Rights Watch claims that the deportation of legal immigrants who have been found guilt of a criminal offence is a violation of human rights.
“Following changes to U.S. immigration law in 1996 authorities have deported more than 670,000 immigrants from the U.S. for criminal offences”.
The Human Rights lobby does not have the right to decide what constitutes human rights and what is in the interest of the U.S.
This is a good law and Australia should adopt it.

We should definitely bring this law downunder.
