Australian mineral resources are to be taken out of the hands of Australians amd made international assets to be exploited for the benefit of the Third World and the super rich.
The biggest mining and exploration companies are consolidating to become even bigger and according to the writers in the Business Section of The Australian,only a few large operations have the expertise,the resources and the capital raising ability to able them to develop a massive deposit such as that at the Olympic Dam project in South Australia.
B.H.P. Billiton wants to process the very valuable copper-uranium concentrate in China. (The Australian,12 July 2007,p.19.) and has asked the Federal government to approve the export of the uranium bearing copper concentrate to China,rather than convert the ore into metal at the mine site.
B.H.P.’s next chief executive,Marius Kloppers,met the Industry Minister,Ian Macfarlane,to make a formal request to directly ship up to 1.2 million tonnes of Olympic Dam copper concentrate a year.
The South Australian Labor government said it would not go ahead and fund the infrastructure at the site because of this.. Unfortunately that will not worry B.H.P or the Chinese. Under the rules of Globalism China could send its own engineers and workers to build the port and mine facilities and would gladly pay the cost because no agreement signed by the Federal government could make China repat the Uranium to Australia and the copper price would be set by the Chinese government.
In one act Howard’s government would strip Australian workers of many good jobs and hand development of Australians resources to B.H.P. and China.
Such an act is nothing less than treason.
If an agreement is made with China we can do nothing at the moment but a Nationalist government in the future could strip members of the B.H.P. board,the Howard cabinet and their children and grand children of their Australian nationality and residential permit for the crimes of treason by association and in retrospect. In fact banish them.
People like ex-President Clinton who claim to be World citizens should be stripped of protection in law from any Nation,because all the services that make our lives possible come from our Nation and not the U.N.
If globalism is so good these pariahs should be the first to enjoy it.
