The police in Victoria are alarmed by the lawlessness and violence of young Sudanese gang members in Melbourne’s inner city housing commission estates. The rank and file police,terrified neighbours and the powerful police union say the Africans need to be “properly educated” in Australian values. Senior Sergeant Paul Mullett told The Australian that police and social workers in Melbourne’s inner north are demanding resources to deal with the problem.
Police Union members who worked around the high-rise public housing blocks in areas such as Flemington and Fitzroy are reluctant to work in these areas.
Victorian community Council on Crime and Violence member Bob Falconer said ‘some police and academics had failed to acknowledge the existence of street gangs because they did not want to be seen as singling out the ethnic groups involved’.
Youth worker Les Twentyman said while there were African gangs involved in crime and violence there were also gangs from the Pacific Islands and Lebanon involved.
Inspector Scott Mahony,carefully picked for his “wet” credentials to handle multicultural policing issues,bleats we must explain the role of the police in these issues.
Inspector Mahony said while he did not believe there was a problem with these gangs police needed to improve their understanding of African culture!
Inspector Mahony is typical of the wets who are destroying our society. The answers are simple,sack Mahony arrest and deport all gang members and stop the continued immigration from Africa and the Middle East.
