An opinion by Herreward
Phillip Adams (the Australian 5.9.06. p.12) bemoans the passing of Don Chipp as representing the death of small l liberalism in the Liberal party and that the pluralist party of Menzies is long gone.
Menzies no doubt wanted his party to represent all Australians but then in his era the importance of Nationalism was not questioned.
After the Second World War Nationalism became a dirty word and the pernicious policy of Globalism took root world Wide.
Socialism successfully infiltrated the education system of the West at all levels and took control of the curriculum. As a result many graduates had left wing sympathies.
These people infiltrated the Labor and Liberal parties and also the Unions and were supported by like minded glitterati and the chattering classes and this group gained control of both main parties for a period. These people support globalisation and were instrumental World Wide in transferring Western Industry and Technology to the Third World. They now want to open our borders to mass immigration of cheap labour.
Adams may bemoan their passing,I say good riddance.
