Christians should not vote Labor in Victoria

Endeavour Forum Newsletter No 123,July 2006,complains that Victoria’s Racial and Religious Tolerance Act ahs already infringed on the freedom of religion and the freedom of expression rights of Victorians.
In the case of “catch the fire pastors” The Equal Opportunity Commission has demonstrated that it can be grossly partisan.  The commission assisted the Muslim community to create a case against the pastors.  But by way of contrast, when Robert Mears a Christian, sought the assistance of the Commission to bring a case for what was gross vilification of the Catholic Church and of Catholics in school text books for use in Year 8 in the state school system, the commission told Mears his complaint “lacked substances and was misconceived”.
I have little sympathy for the Catholic Church in Australia.  Catholic priests usually support the Labor party against the Liberals in politics and the Victorian Labor party obviously supports Islam against Christianity.
If the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne wishes to protect his flock he should order them not to vote Labor in the coming election.
