(The Advertiser 27.06.06)
Rather late for the paper to say that. The paper took part in the “Clever Australia” campaign run by Left leaning Australian governments and radical left teachers who organised the closure of Technical high schools and claimed that all Australian students were capable of achieving a University qualification and should have a chance to do so. The people sneered at tradesmen and encouraged all students to enter a University. As a result all those that failed feel second class citizens and those who prefer a trade are bitter with their status in society. They should remember the adage;those that can,do;those that cannot, teach, and apply it to our left wing teachers.
The paper,of course,is not worried about lack of tradesmen in Australia, only the cost. The answer for our left leaning elite and local employers is unrestricted immigration of cheap overseas labour.
