The European Union was formed as a trading bloc for the benefit of its West European founding members. France and Germany had other ideas and that was to form a political bloc as strong as America and ruled by a president and parliament to which the member nations would concede sovereignty.

Britain on the other hand wanted the E.U. to embrace globalism,multi-culturalism,the free market and unlimited immigration from the Third World as well as conceding sovereignty to the U.N.

Who are these people Britain,France and Germany? The political elites of these countries from whom the political parties are recruited. They are not the average voter. The writer Mary Dejevsky suggests that a yes vote was the correct vote, but then she supports the elite. In France 80% of the workers in the depressed industrial areas voted “NO”,Paris of course voted yes.

The same classes who in Australia voted for and against the elites Republic and still rule through the political parties.
